About Us

Hui! Aloha mai!

Mahalo nui for visiting our website.

Ola and ʻŌlelo are Hawaiian words that translates to life and language. As you incorporate ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi, or any Native language, into your life you see that they very much go hand in hand. Ola and ʻŌlelo originally began as a kumu (teacher) gram - a space where we shared what life as an elementary Hawaiian immersion educator was like.

Since becoming a stay at home makuahine (mother), Ola and ʻŌlelo has evolved into a space where we share ways of  incorporating ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi in more of an ʻohana (family) setting, in and out of the hale (home). We are a new, small ʻohana Hawaiʻi (Hawaiian family) owned business whose goal is to perpetuate and normalize our ʻōlelo.

Although our titles may have changed over the years, our goal remains the same- we are dedicated to those dedicated to cherishing the ʻōlelo makuahine (mother tongue) of Hawaiʻi.

Whether you're a stay at home parent, an educator, a makua (parent) who wants to teach their keiki (child) ʻōlelo, or someone who's trying to reclaim the language of their ancestors, let us kākoʻo (support) you on this beautiful journey.

Mahalo.
